(1046-C) HymonBio’s Leading PCR Trends: MoLock and One-Step Technology

Abstract: PCR technology was invented in 1985 by PE company’s Dr. Mullis in 1985, who won a Nobel Prize in 1993; It is hailed as one of the three greatest inventions of the 20th century. Using the PCR platform as its foundation, HymonBio has superimposed with one of their own inventions, the Molecular Lock Technology (MoLock). MoLock eliminates interference from wild-type genes, specifically amplifies mutant genes, and can increase mutation detection rate from one-in-one-hundred to one-in-ten-thousand. Such results had been tested by PerkinElmer laboratories and thus obtained exclusive Round A investment. This technology has been applied to a number of HymonBio’s cancer screening kits, including colorectal cancer.
Simultaneously, HymonBio’s “One-Step” Method simplifies traditional 6-step nucleic acid extraction into a single step, only requiring 3 minutes of incubation to complete the entire extraction process. Whereas traditional sample-to-results average 3 to 4 hours, HymonBio can achieve sample-to-results in only 35 minutes without compromising sensitivity, greatly improving laboratory testing. This technology was used for the Hymon® SARS-CoV-2 Test Kit, which has obtained US FDA EUA and cited by Dr. Stephan Hahn, former director of the FDA on his official Twitter account; more than 30 Western media have also reported on this test kit. The “One-Step” Method has also been applied to other pathogen detection kits made at HymonBio, achieving another revolutionary breakthrough on the PCR platform.
