(1117-B) Compound Management Establishment in Start-ups and Small Biotech Companies

Abstract: Compound Management is a critical part of early drug Discovery. It involves sample procurement, storage of samples, quality control and distribution. However, it is a challenge for most small and startup biotech companies due to the resources constrains, and generally could not keep up with the growing demand of compound management support. Here, we described a general approach adopted in FL 94, a biotech startup, where the acoustic technology enabled a simple compound storage hierarchy, effective compound processing methods. Together, the compound management group can not only support primary screenings for hits identification, but also lead discovery and optimization, with overall reduced costs and the timeline for projects.
