Abstract: Without an end-to-end data and sample management workflow for small interfering Ribonucleic Acid (siRNA) molecules, Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Oligo Chemists manually register siRNA molecules in the chemical registration system and manually prepare and ship siRNA molecules to Oligo Biologists resulting in increased effort, wasted time, and increased sample consumption. The lack of an end-to-end solution requires J&J Innovative Medicine Oligo Biologists to manually track siRNA samples and submit assay data resulting in longer cycle times. Johnson & Johnson’s global Information Technologies, Compound and Data Management, and Screening Operations teams developed and implemented an end-to-end siRNA data and sample management solution which aligns siRNA molecule registration data, integrates electronic notebooks (ELNs) with Titian’s Mosaic sample management platform, enables batch siRNA container registration to Mosaic, automates siRNA sample preparation and storage, integrates FedEx shipping, and provides traceability of siRNA molecules and their assay data in Genedata Screener. This end-to-end data and sample management capability for siRNA molecules from synthesis to assay data submission enables scalability, efficiency, and increased throughput for the Oligo Therapeutic teams at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.
