Ben Carvalho is the current Director of Automation at Natera Inc, a clinical genetic testing company. Ben has worked in Laboratory Automation for 25 years. His first 17 years in Lab Automation were spent in Early Discovery Pharmaceutical labs, building HTS, Lead Evaluation and Lead Profiling automated cell culture and assay systems. He is now the Director of Automation with a company doing genetic testing in a clinical environment. Ben has a B.S. in Biology from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Haven.
