Kalpesh gupta (he/him/his)

Kalpesh Gupta serves as the Associate Director of Research Automation at Moderna Inc., based in Cambridge, MA. In this role, he spearheads a variety of automation initiatives, leveraging his expertise in liquid handling platform development and programming, including systems like STAR, STARlet, Starplus, Vantage, and Nimbus.

Kalpesh holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Brandeis University and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Northeastern University. His academic background, coupled with his professional experience, positions him as a recognized authority in the field of research automation.

Currently, he manages a team responsible for programming multiple Hamilton systems and several integrated systems, playing a crucial role in driving automation growth at Moderna.

Prior to joining Moderna, Kalpesh accumulated extensive experience in Biology. His skill set encompasses a broad range of areas, including Protein Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Protein Spectroscopic Analysis, HPLC, DSC, ELISA, Dissolution, Activity and Cell-Based Assays, and more.
