Chaitanya Gupta, Ph.D. is co-founder, president, and CTO of Probius. He invented the all-electronic molecular analyzer that forms the basis of Probius’ technology, while he was a Senior Research Engineer in Prof. Roger T. Howe's research group in the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford.
His research interests lie at the intersection of surface science, electrical engineering, and quantum statistical physics, developing novel sensing paradigms that can be applied for improved and more efficient discovery, clinical diagnostics, bio-surveillance, and for facilitating low-cost and efficient pharma-focused clinical trials. Dr. Gupta has authored twenty publications, and is an inventor on nine families of patents associated with the all-electronic molecular analyzer.
Dr. Gupta received a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, which was followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also minored in Physics in graduate school and was awarded an M.S. for the same in 2009.
