Heather L. Osswald received her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Purdue University working on the structure-based design, synthesis, and evaluation of HIV-1 protease inhibitors and other biologically active small molecules. She then performed postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute, focusing on antiparasitic agents and DNA-encoded library technology. Heather's industrial career has been focused at the interface of automation and chemistry. She has impacted multiple preclinical discovery projects spanning from hit ID to lead optimization and developed an automated chemical synthesis platform capable of enabling rapid exploration of chemical space and identification of lead compounds.
