Elliott Leinauer is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri. His research focuses on the development of label-free liquid biomarker enrichment technologies for precision oncology. Specifically, inertial-based microfluidic particle isolation technologies to efficiently enrich circulating tumor cells, extracellular vesicles, and circulating tumor DNA from bodily fluids for advanced downstream analysis. Ultimately, Elliott aspires to develop a useful tool that can be used by clinicians to translate their findings into the clinical setting.
