Khashayar (Kash) Moshksayan received his B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Mechanical engineering, specialized in fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics. His interest in life sciences and specifically biomicrofluidics sparked during his M.Sc. in 2015, when he developed a microfluidic chip for anticancer drug testing on tumor spheroids. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin and his research focuses on developing microfluidic platforms for large-scale and high-content screening of intestinal and cardiac organoids. He has vast experience in biomicrofluidics and thermal/fluids area. Besides science, he also enjoys paddle boarding, picnics, playing Setar and hiking trips.
