AstraZeneca, Vastra Gotaland, Sweden
Frederik Eisele is a curious life scientist with background in the field of intracellular protein quality control and a great interest in the emerging field of targeted protein degradation and proximity inducing drugs.
He holds a position as an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca Sweden in the Mechanistic and Structural Biology department. Besides supporting various drug development projects with key screening, mechanistic data, and assay development, Frederik is part of several capability builds including the establishment of a NanoSAR PROTAC screening platform. This approach greatly accelerates and expands PROTAC SAR exploration, while drastically reducing the amounts of reagents and solvents used.
Before joining AstraZeneca, Frederik has been a doing a PhD at the University of Stuttgart, where he was screening for novel components of the ubiquitin proteasome system followed by post-doctoral studies at the University of Gothenburg on protein quality control mechanisms in aging cells.
