Adrian Roth is a molecular biologist by training, Professor of Pharmacology, and has 17 years of experience developing and applying cell based models to support drug safety assessment (Toxicology & Drug Metabolism) at Roche’s Pharma organization
Leading a global Department responsible for in vitro support of pre-clinical safety assessment, he pioneered the use of 3D cell models, Organoids or Organs on Chips to enable drug candidate selection, addressing key safety issues and contributing to data packages allowing for entry-into-human testing
Since August 2020 he is Principal Scientific Director of Personalized Healthcare within Roche’s Clinical Development organization exploring application of human tissue models to optimize the safe and effective use of medicines at the individual patient level
