Sigitas Mikutis, PhD, is currently a chemist in Ride Therapeutics, a University of Cambridge spin-out. Sigitas took an active interest in natural sciences while still at school, actively participating in national and international chemistry olympiads. He carried out his PhD studies in University of Cambridge under supervision of Prof. Gonçalo Bernardes, where he embarked on a journey to develop new methods to modulate RNA using small molecules and develop machine learning-based models for prediction of molecule bioactivities. Sigitas takes a deep interest in RNA both as a therapeutic and a target for therapeutics as well as in silico workflows to expedite exploration of chemical space. In his current position Sigitas is developing new approaches towards RNA delivery.
