Nilmani Singh is postdoc in the lab of Prof. Huimin Zhao at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. His current research focus is using laboratory automation platform of iBioFAB (https://www.igb.illinois.edu/iBIOFAB) to develop efficient automated workflows for protein engineering, synthetic biology, and metabolic engineering applications. One of the primary projects is development of in vitro laboratory automation assisted continuous directed evolution using machine learning. Some of his previous works include development of efficient automated plasmid assembly pipeline and improved automated site-directed mutagenesis protocol.
