I earned M.S. in 2006 from Mechanical Engineering of Texas A&M University, focusing on soft tissue mechanics. I received Ph.D from Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University in 2012, focused on mechanobiology of stem cells and tissue engineering. My interest in mechanobiology led to the respiratory research as a postdoctoral fellow at Bioengineering department of the University of Pennsylvania, developing an in vitro model of ventilator induced lung injury. My current research is primarily focused on developing 3D engineered human tissues and modeling relevant diseases in a high throughput platform for early drug discovery and development at NCATS.
