Lisi Cai, Senior Principle Scientist, Compound Managment team lead at Novartis Institude of BioMedical Research (Cambridge).
Trained as an organic chemist, Lisi Cai started his career in the biomedical industry after receiveing a Master's Degree from University of Delaware. Over the years he gradually transformed from a bench chemist working with drug molecules, to a compound manager who focus on process automation and optimization to support the whole drug discovery landscape. His work experience with small biotech (ARIAD Pharmaceticals 2004~2016); DEL CRO (X-Chem 2017), mid-size pharma (BeiGene 2018~2022) and eventually multinational corporation (NIBR 2023) help him to understand customers' needs and work effectively crossing departmental lines.
