Alex Reis (PhD) is a Principcal Scientist at Manifold Bio working closely on developing and leveraging the team's protein barcoding technology, mCodes, for advancing protein therapeutic engineering in vivo. Alex received his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Rice University (Houston, TX) and his Doctorate in Synthetic Biology from Penn State University (State College, PA) before joining Manifold Bio in 2021. At Manifold Bio, he is exploring how to leverage protein barcodes, next generating sequencing tech, biophysical and ML modeling to achieve the company goals. Manifold's mission it to engineer tissue-targeting therapies, equipped with rich, high-quality in vivo multiplexing data. Manifold is currently focused on Central Nervous System (CNS) payload delivery and neurodisease, but in the future will seek to tackle other challenging vivo targeting problems with our platform.
