Moderna
Russell is currently a Senior Scientist at Moderna, where he focuses on developing novel delivery systems for a variety of nucleic acid-based cargos. Prior to Moderna, Russell worked in the commercial fill/finish GMP manufacturing space, wherein he contributed to the development and commercialization of small and large molecule therapeutics. Additionally, he has worked in process development, helping to advanced late stage clinical assets and leading efforts to develop novel high-throughput screening tools and automated lab-scale manufacturing technologies, such as robotic drug product filling systems and machine learning-based automated visual inspection systems. At Moderna, he focuses on building data-centric and democratized ecosystems, where he leads an effort to build an integrated system that leverages biology, chemistry, automation, and artificial intelligence to accelerate drug development.
