Hardware and Application Manager
Molecular Devices, Austria
I graduated from the University of Bonn, with a major in cell biology and biochemistry and I continued with my doctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Munich. During this time, I used cutting-edge microscopes to develop a novel theory of plasma membrane organization. Afterwards I moved to the IMBA in Vienna for my postdoctoral studies into the field of high-throughput microscopy and advanced image analysis. After fruitful years in academia, I decided to switch gears on started my career as an application scientist at Molecular Devices. Molecular Devices allowed me to bring the world of biology together with hardware engineering and was lucky to be involved in the development of CellXpress.AI, a new highly integrated platform for automated organoid cultivation.
