Ronald V. Abruzzese is a Scientist III at ThermoFisher Scientific. For over 30 years he has been working as a Molecular Biologist in Big Pharma, Large Biotech and small start up Companies. While at ThermoFisher he has contributed to the launch of multiple kits for isolation of nucleic acid from different sample types. Recently he has been involved in producing kits that extract plasmid DNA from bacteria at various culture volumes. Currently, he is leading the development of a miniprep scale plasmid purification kit that utilizes multiple paramagnetic bead types to enable high throughput screening.
