PhD Candidate
University of California, Los Angeles
I am a fourth-year PhD student at the Di Carlo lab at UCLA, specializing in high-throughput screening and diagnostic platforms with an emphasis on colony picking and directed evolution. Holding an undergraduate degree from India and a master’s from UCLA, I've garnered over seven years of research experience. I am deeply passionate about technological platforms that can profoundly transform current research tools, propelling innovation, and discovery. Aligned with this vision, my research is centered on developing a high-throughput cell screening workflow, with the goal of revolutionizing the way we analyze and measure cell or cell-derived protein functions. I am deeply invested in deciphering the intricate relationship between protein functions and their underlying genetic origins. My ultimate goal is to understand the functional efficacy and reliability of lab-discovered molecules in real-world scenarios, ensuring that scientific advancements translate into tangible benefits in healthcare and biotechnology.
