Senior Director, Discovery Technologies

Earl W. May has over 25 years of drug discovery experience. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University in 1993, studying in the laboratory of Professor Nigel Grindley. After a post-doctoral fellowship with Professor Nancy Craig at Johns Hopkins University, he worked at SmithKline Beecham / GlaxoSmithKline for eleven years conducting protein biochemistry, enzymology, and biophysics in early drug discovery. From there he directed lead discovery at several biotech companies and is now Senior Director of Discovery Technologies at AssayQuant Technologies in Marlboro, MA, developing enzymological methods for kinase drug discovery.
