Dr. LeClair has led the Analytical Chemistry Core (ACC) within the Division of Preclinical Innovation (DPI) at NCATS since 2016. He has a wide-ranging background in analytical chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chromatography, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, compound management, automation, and laboratory information systems. Dr. LeClair received his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Virginia in 2006 followed by an IRTA postdoctoral fellowship at the NIH Center for Chemical Center (NCGC). He joined the ACC in 2009 as a staff scientist working in the areas of NMR spectroscopy and LIMS development. He is currently focused on the development of automated platforms to facilitate high-throughput analytical analysis to support translational research efforts.
