Alex is a Molecular Biologist by training who, with AMSBIO, has been involved in the development and commercialization of physiologically relevant cell and tissue models for over 20 years. These solutions have included a variety of extracellular matrices, substrates and scaffolds. Alex worked with Hynda Kleinman one of the team that published first on Matrigel back in 1985. An entrepreneur and scientist, Alex has been involved in a variety start-ups and spin-outs over his entire career. These include companies in precision medicine, lab-on-a-chip, glycobiology and stem cell research.
