Starting as a postdoc in the field of neuroscience at the Charite, Berlin, Marisa Fuerst ascended to junior group leader at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg (ZMNH). The experience she gained during her academic career paved the way for a position as Laboratory Head in Screening at Nuvisan in 2023, where Marisa Fuerst is invovled in the development of innovative initiatives to drive advances in drug discovery.
