My name is Charlie Childs and I am a dual Ph.D./M.S. candidate in the Departments of Cell and Developmental Biology (Ph.D.) and Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics (M.S.) at the University of Michigan Medical School. I study how the human intestine develops and take what we learn to create and improve organoid model systems or “organs in a dish" of the intestine.
