SPOC Proteomics, Arizona, United States
Dr. Bharath Takulapalli has served as founder and CEO of SPOC Proteomics (formerly iNanoBio) since its inception in 2007. Bharath has >15 years experience at the interface of single molecule biophysics, solid-state-electronics and molecular biology and holds multiple patents in these areas. Bharath is well-versed in protein biomarker-based diagnostics, protein array fabrication, in situ protein expression and capture, gradient capillary fluidics, microfluidics, nanofabrication, protein biosensors, transistor device physics, field effect biosensors, DNA sequencing, nano-imprint and nano-contact print lithography. At Arizona State University, Bharath developed a high density in situ protein expression technology by innovating a novel high-density nanowell platform for low-diffusion in situ protein expression, to solve challenges faced by traditional protein arrays; this technology is termed sensor integrated proteome on chip (SPOC). Bharath’s vision is to utilize this novel, proprietary technology to democratize kinetic and functional proteomics for the purposes of preempting diseases such as infectious diseases and cancer.
