Many conversations around DEI center around the hiring process – how to appeal to a more diverse candidate pool and how to ensure fair and unbiased hiring practices. But what happens after the candidate has been hired? What are we currently missing in our DEI initiatives that will allow us to go beyond enabling the recruitment of diverse populations, but also ensure employee retention and career advancement? In this panel, we speak to experts in DEI in the life sciences about what both employers and employees can do to ensure that individuals from all demographics have the resources and the workplace culture required to not only perform their job responsibilities, but to thrive in the lab.
