Megan Jennings is a Principal Scientist and leader of the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (formerly Janssen R&D) Sample Logistics, Tissue Culture, and Automation teams in La Jolla, California. She began her career at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. implementing tissue culture automation to support screening and development of Kalydeco® (ivacaftor) before departing for Eli Lilly & Co.’s Biotechnology Discovery Research team. At Illumina, Inc. she led a Lab Automation team in the Factory of the Future organization to develop integrated manufacturing filling processes for the iSeq 100 and NextSeq 1000/2000 consumables cartridges before returning to R&D as part of the J&J Innovative Medicine team. Megan holds a degree in Bioengineering from the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego.
