Product Manager Genomics
Tecan Trading AG, Switzerland
Michael graduated with his Master’s in Pharmaceutical sciences in the Pharmacy Faculty of Porto University with experience in medical microbiology and biochemical test development. Following this, he gained his PhD title in Biochemistry and Molecular biology by the University of Bern with specialization in NGS for short-read/long-read applications and bioinformatics for surveillance and outbreak investigations. During that time, he completed RNA-Seq and entrepreneurial training courses.
After those previous milestones, Michael has worked as a product manager in genomics at Tecan Trading AG, in which he has managed the DreamPrep NGS portfolio for medium and high throughput NGS workflows.
In the poster sessions, he will share how an automated extraction and library prep systems can accelarate microbiome analysis and drug discovery workflows, respectively.
