(1323-D) Insights about Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry gleaned from computational simulation

Abstract: Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) is an established hit finding approach in the pharmaceutical industry. We recently conducted a strategic evaluation of our 2-dimensional liquid chromatography ASMS (2D-LC-ASMS) platform to enhance our productivity with the technology. As part of this work, we prepared a computational simulation of the method to better understand the influence of experimental set up on the ability to detect hits. This poster will describe our analysis of the simulated outcome from more than 90,000 different experimental configurations that revealed keen insights about how the various levers of the experiment interplay with each other; as well as other learnings that have influenced how we apply the technology.
