Lynda earned her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Galway, Ireland working in the field of apoptosis and cell signaling. Following this, she joined the Institute of Cancer Research in London, UK as a postdoctoral fellow focusing on metastatic dormancy in breast cancer. Throughout her research career Lynda has gained a broad expertise in a wide range of molecular cell biology techniques, in vivo and ex vivo techniques, 2D and 3D cell culture and extensive experience in microscopy, high content imaging and image analysis. In 2018, she joined Tecan in the Detection sales and marketing department as an application scientist with a primary focus on the Spark Cyto multimode microplate reader. Since 2022, Lynda leads the Detection Marketing Applications team.
